d) Maternal and household factors associated with use of nutrition services and interventions in Bangladesh
The use of nutrition services and interventions depends on a variety of factors, including mothers’ nutritional status, educational level, and power over decisions and assets, as well as a range of household demographic, socioeconomic and health characteristics. This study will explore the association between these types of maternal and household factors and the use of nutrition services and interventions in Bangladesh. Data analyses will be based on household data from the Bangladesh Integrated Household Survey, implemented by IFPRI’s Policy Research and Strategy Support Programme (PRSSP) in Bangladesh. This study, due to be completed in 2013, is being led by Kuntal Saha and Purnima Menon of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and Shams El Arifeen of the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B).
