Kenaw Gebreselassie leads research uptake for Transform Nutrition in Ethiopia

Kenaw Gebreselassie

Kenaw Gebreselassie is the Research Uptake and Communications Manager at Save the Children Ethiopia. He works in the Hunger Team at Save the Children Ethiopia. Before this, Kenaw worked as Communication and Promotion Senior Officer in the ICASA 2011 Secretariat and as Communication and Campaign Manager in the Special Needs Education Programme in Ethiopia (funded and supported by the Finnish government). He also served as Communications Specialist and Associate Coordinator for Universal Health Coverage Campaign initiated by Managements Sciences for Health (MSH).

Previous to these communications roles, Kenaw was a lecturer, and head of department of Journalism and Communications at Mekelle University. Amongst many other academic and teaching responsibilities, Kenaw was involved in the dissemination of research. Kenaw has an MA in Journalism and Communications (Addis Ababa University) and an MA in Media, Communications and Cultural Studies (Aarhus University, Denmark and Florence University, Italy).
